  • The Open Group FACE Consortium Technical Standard 2.1 Corrigenda 1

Description:

1. The Open Group FACE Consortium Software Supplier Statement of Conformance

This form contains a series of questions to be answered by the Software Supplier. Please complete ALL fields below for a single Unit of Conformance (UoC) or UoC Package, then submit to the Verification Authority (VA).

The Software Supplier is responsible for ensuring that this Statement of Conformance remains a correct and complete representation of the UoC throughout the conformance verification and certification process. If any of the information represented below changes, an update to this Statement of Conformance must be resubmitted to the VA and Certification Authority (CA). See the FACE Conformance Certification Guide for more information on how to complete this form. Only Sections 1 and 2 need to be filled out for a UoC Package.

2. The Open Group FACE Consortium Technical Standard 2. Corrigenda 1

In Technical Corrigendum 1 for Technical Standard for Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE™), Edition 2.0, the following non-normative statements that contain requirements language are no longer to be considered normative requirements in the updated Technical Standard for Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE™), Edition 2.0.1. The changes in this corrigendum are a result of correcting/modifying Ada run-time corrections and clarifications in Edition 2.0.  

An additional statement was added to indicate that a Domain Specific Data Model (DSDM) can be verified as conformant to the FACE Technical Standard using existing requirements in section 3.6.2 , Item 2, requirements a, b, c, and f.

Special care has been taken to verify that the changes in this corrigendum do not contradict requirements in other versions of already published FACE technical standards.

3. The Open Group FACE Consortium Technical Standard 2.1 Corrigenda 1

In Technical Corrigendum 1 for Technical Standard for Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE™), Edition 2.1, the following non-normative statements that contain requirements language are no longer to be considered normative requirements in the updated Technical Standard for Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE™), Edition 2.1.1. The (commenting but not balloting) review group will be The Open Group FACE Consortium, plus other forums, work groups and interested parties from The Open Group membership.

The review group who will formulate the recommendations for all of the change requests will be the Open Group FACE Consortium and invited Subject Matter Experts.

The balloting group consists of the members of The Open Group FACE Consortium.

I hereby assert that this submissions satisfies the Standards Adoption Criteria.

Ballot resolution will be against the proposed resolutions put forward by the sponsor.

For the benefit of those unfamiliar with The Open Group Standards Process Company Review, it is a formal process by which a document is approved for publication by The Open Group. You are invited to review and submit proposed changes (“Change Requests - CR”) that would make the document acceptable to you. A formal ballot then decides which changes are accepted.

When viewing the HTM/tagged file there are some links at the top of the page that you should be aware of:

“Comments” – provides a table with the existing comments from all reviewers so you can see them in real-time.

CRs should be submitted using the online review system and must be received by the closing date.  You will be asked to supply your Open Group ID and password to access the review site and materials.

February 23, 2017 - Announce Company Review
March 2, 2017- All review materials must be posted
March 9, 2017 - Review Opens
March 24, 2017 - Review Closes
March 27 - March 31, 2017 - Convene teleconferences to propose resolutions
April 3, 2017 - Ballot Opens
April 10, 2017 - Ballot Closes
April 13, 2017 - Sanity Review opens
April 20, 2017 - Sanity Review closes
April 21, 2017 -  Forward to Governing Board for Approval
April 28, 2017 - Executive Management Team Approval

PROCEDURE for Resolving CRs submitted during Company Review:

1. All requests for modifications must be the subject of formal change requests. They should be submitted via the web interface described above.

2. Immediately after being received from the sponsor, proposals recommending how each submitted change should be handled shall be circulated to the review group, together with a ballot table.

3. ALL members entitled to vote shall vote by electronic mail via the ballot group alias on EVERY submitted proposal within the agreed period. The ballot results shall be circulated immediately after the end of the ballot period.

4. Further discussion of the unresolved change requests during an agreed period may occur for an agreed limited period to seek a clear majority decision. Eventually, only changes that achieve 75% approval will be accepted.

5. The sponsor will announce the outcome of the vote.
